Community Involvement

At Newton Becker Bouwkamp Pendoski, PC, we believe our ability to give better legal service to individuals and families is improved by being actively engaged and committed in our communities. From personal rights advocacy groups to arts organizations, from youth and sports programs to our professional affiliations, we are dedicated to making life better for the people and causes we care about.

For example, in the Indianapolis and central Indiana communities, our attorneys are, or have been, involved in arts organizations such as Art With a Heart, youth advocacy programs like Kids’ Voice of Indiana, and community improvement initiatives like Habitat for Humanity. And we’ve honored Indiana’s history with service to the Indiana Historical Society, the Indiana State Museum, and the Indiana State Museum Foundation.

The attorneys at Newton Becker Bouwkamp Pendoski, PC have dedicated themselves to advocating for those without power, as well as humanitarian causes such as Outreach, Inc., a not-for-profit providing outreach to the homeless and at-risk young adults; Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Legacy House, The Dayspring Center family homeless shelter, and the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention, Inc. We’ve even volunteered with the Humane Society, neighborhood associations and statewide sports associations.

Our firm, along with many in the local legal community, recognizes the responsibility to provide pro bono legal assistance. We were honored and humbled to receive the 2015 “Pro Bono Award to a Law Firm” at the Annual IndyBar Recognition Awards Breakfast. So while our commitment to serving those in need has never been motivated by a desire for recognition, the tip of the hat from the Bar Association was appreciated.

Our continuing dedication to serving your family legal needs is enhanced by providing strong voices and leadership in our professional affiliations, too. We’re members of the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the Young Lawyers Division Education Committee and its Family and Juvenile Law Section. We’ve also served the IBA’s Women and the Law Division and its Grievance Committee, as well as the Indiana Community Defender Board.

At Newton Becker Bouwkamp Pendoski, PC, Attorneys at Law, we are more than just your partners in representing you and your family; we are also advocates for the causes and organizations that improve and support our community.
